Leader marks Volunteers’ Week

Blackburn with Darwen Council Leader, Cllr Mohammed Khan, has offered his sincere thanks to all of the borough’s hard working volunteers during a week of celebration for them:

It is incredibly comforting to know that we have the support of a wealth of wonderful volunteers who give their time and efforts freely to help others. I want them to know, your dedication does not go unnoticed. Volunteers’ Week has been an opportunity to reflect on all of their work and how diligently they support the health and happiness of the borough. This has been all the more to the fore in the recent months as we deal with what has been the worst public health crisis in a generation. The response we’ve had from local people to assist in our efforts to combat the effects of coronavirus has been overwhelming and I thank you all so much.
