Latest Museum YouTube episode now live

During the pandemic the Museum staff have been sharing the collection via YouTube so everyone can still enjoy and learn about the history of our borough.

Following on from another video on the ARP Warden & Fire Watcher and the role that they played in keeping people safe during the Blitz on London and other British towns, the Museum takes a look at a common menace that they faced – the incendiary bomb.

The episode starts with the origin of these weapons and then looks at the, thankfully few, bombing attacks on Blackburn during the war and find out how one of the bombs dropped on the town ended up in the Museum’s collection.
