The latest Government announcement (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/restrictions-on-household-gatherings-to-continue-in-parts-of-the-north-west-and-west-yorkshire) today does not change anything in Blackburn with Darwen.
Sadly we can’t give any guarantees on how long our restrictions will last. The Secretary of State’s official review date of the business related regulations in force for our borough is August 15 then August 19th as part of the wider household restrictions.
These measures are essential early preventative measures to avoid further economic lockdown measures. They are difficult for us all but they will save both lives and livelihoods in the long run. We are urging everyone to support the measures outlined and take all actions required to reduce the risk of further spread of the virus
