When a person has a cardiac arrest, there are a few vital minutes to save them!

Anyone can save a life – you just need to learn a few simple skills.

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council is happy to support this new campaign led by Lancashire County Council, BBC Radio Lancashire and the North West Ambulance Service to make sure you know how!

Lancashire County Council is aiming to train up to 2,500 people in CPR life saving techniques throughout April and May 2018.

Less than 1 in 10 people who have a cardiac arrest outside of hospital in the UK survives. With your help we can change that. Learn to be a lifesaver – it is all free.

CPR and Defibrillator training sessions will take place in Blackburn on the following dates;

Wednesday, April 18 BBC Radio Lancashire
Wednesday, April 25 BBC Radio Lancashire
Saturday, April 28 BBC Radio Lancashire
Wednesday, May 2 BBC Radio Lancashire
Wednesday, May 9 BBC Radio Lancashire

It only takes an hour and you can even do it in your dinner hour! You can book your free place now
