The next meeting of the Hive business network will welcome Edwin Booth from the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) as its guest speaker.
Taking place at Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio on Thursday, (April 21), the event will see the chairman of E H Booth & Co Ltd, that owns the successful Booths supermarket chain, talk about his success in the food and drink industry, the role of the LEP and opportunities for Blackburn with Darwen and the wider Lancashire area in the Northern Powerhouse debate.
The event follows on from the recent launch of the new Blackburn and Darwen story held at Blackburn’s Cathedral Quarter last month, and will see Khalid Saifullah, Chair of Hive & Director of Star Tissue introduce the new Hive Ambassador programme. The programme will bring together businesses, organisations and individuals across the area in a powerful network to drive forward the promotion and development of Blackburn with Darwen.
Ruth Bradbury, Principal, Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio will also speak at Thursday’s event on the importance of creating closer links between the worlds of education and business, and Kay Vaughan of Inspira will be giving further information on the progress being made through the Hive Business School initiative and how companies can get on board.
Richard Slater of Lancashire Business View will chair the event.
