Keep learning to improve your wellbeing

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are a proven, simple set of actions that anyone can take to positively impact their day-to-day wellbeing.

After we looked at ‘take notice’ last week, the campaign this week will focus on ‘keep learning’. Still to come are ‘be active’, ‘help others’ and ‘connect’.

The five ways are small improvements that can help you feel good about yourself and the world around you.

Keep Learning

  • Set yourself a challenge you’ll enjoy achieving – sign up for a course, try something new at work, cook or learn an instrument!
  • Try something new or rediscover an old interest.
  • Setting goals, especially in adult learning, can help to increase your wellbeing.
  • Only got 5 minutes? Search ‘TED’ online for talks by some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers.

We’re using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing to promote a range of services and activities in the borough that can make you feel good and function well. All activities have been designed to be Covid-safe and supportive at a time when positive mental health and wellbeing is so important.
