From Robert Peel to Paganini, from the Plug Plot riots to the site of the town’s first power station, there is a lot of history hidden around Blackburn town centre.

After the huge popularity of the walk last week, with over 50 participants – those who missed out can join the re:fresh team this Saturday on a free guided walk as they reveal the town’s wealth of blue plaques, recording the rich and varied history of our town. Along the way you will uncover some of the town’s exciting art murals – so bring along your camera!

The walk will be at an easy pace and last, approximately, 90 minutes.

It’s a great way to exercise, complete your daily steps, and learn some fascinating facts along the way.
