Works are due to take place this week in Blackburn Town Centre to landscape a dilapidated water feature.
The fountain, off Ainsworth Street, Blackburn hasn’t been in use for over a year. It is due to be replaced with an attractive and more cost effective landscaped sign to welcome people to the town centre.
The works, which will also see improved signage in the area, are being funded through the Local Transport Plan Gateways budget.
Cllr Phil Riley, Executive Member for Regeneration, said: “We are pleased that the area can be given a new lease of life by creating an attractive gateway for people coming into town.”
