A 10-hour mammouth music and arts festival in a transformed disused church is set to return for a fourth year this weekend.

Confessional Festival 2018 is set in a magnificent listed-building, with its stained glass windows and astounding acoustics, it’s a one day mini festival not to be missed.

The atmospheric event is set to take place at Holy Trinity Church, Mount Pleasent in Blackburn, On Saturday, September 8, 2018.

It starts at 2pm until midnight, with the programme being put together by local music promoter, Pete Eastwood, and features up and coming bands from across the country.

He said:

The headline bands at the two previous Confessionals – Jeremiah Ferrari and Cabbage – have gone onto do great things and I  firmly believe that this year’s line-up  includes bands that will soon be appearing at much bigger venues in the future.

Jason Walker from The Friends of Holy Trinity added:

The Confessional is becoming an important event in the Blackburn music calendar and it’s an opportunity to listen to great bands and to see this wonderful listed building in a rather different light.

There will be two bars – one selling real ale and a bottle bar – and there will be food stalls including a new treat provided by Sabira Patel and her award-winning spicy pies that were such a hit at this year’s Festival of Making.

Tickets are still available from the Confessional Festival Facebook site and there will be a limited number available on the door.

The line-up includes rising Welsh stars, Trampolene, New Wavers, Pins and Dexy’s Midnight Runners’ Kevin Rowland join the line-up for one of the UK’s most remarkable, hidden festivals, Confessional Festival 2018.
