If you want to find out about health, get down to Blackburn Central Library this Friday.

Health trainers and library staff have teamed up to hold health events at Blackburn Central Library on the last Friday of every month, where you can get information about everything from stopping smoking to NHS health checks, as well as the innovative ‘books on prescription’ scheme, which loans out self-help books.

There are also opportunities to sign up for a Beez card, which is available to staff and gives access to leisure centres and leisure facilities across the borough, including activities as part of the re:fresh free leisure scheme.

The next event will take place on Friday 28 March, in Meeting Room 1 of the Library between (10.00 and 4.00pm) ring 682037 to book an appointment, alongside the usual other stands as well as staff there to offer help and advice.
