Published Monday 11 September 2023 at 14:14

A three-day recruitment event will be hosted by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council open to anyone who is currently looking for work or changing their career.

Get That Job will be held at King George’s Hall, it’s a free event and there will be  a host of local employers there to answer any questions and offer advice.

Job seekers will get the chance to speak to experts, take part in workshops and enhance their CV to get the job that they are looking for at the event on October 2 – 4.

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council’s Skills and Quality manager for Adults, Hilary Jenkins-Beard, said:

“This is an excellent opportunity for people to get the support they need to get the job they desire. They will receive support and advice from the National Careers Service and More Positive Together.

“It will be beneficial for local employers to meet those looking for work and talk about their vacancies. We have held successful jobs fairs in the past and this another way for people to get involved and pursue the job that you want.”
