The Friends of Blackburn Old Cemetery invite all residents to join with them to commemorate the First World War. You can download the invitation form here.
On Sunday 3rd August, the members of the friends groups will be hosting a small ceremony at the cenotaph and the poppy garden within the grounds of the Blackburn Site, on Whalley New Road.
This will be followed by a short guided tour of the war graves within the Cemetery.
However due to the uneven nature of the ground, the group have advised that those wishing to take part in the tour wear appropriate foot wear.
You can find more information on Blackburn with Darwen Remembers here.
