Do you work with children or young people?
We know what amazing work happens in our local communities to support children, young people and families to achieve amazing things.
We also know that families can struggle, too. Money worries, mental health concerns and the constant demands of modern life can take their toll. By working together, we can help and support families to navigate these struggles.
If you work with children and young people either professionally or in a voluntary capacity, would you know how to spot the signs of neglect and know what to do with this information?
Blackburn with Darwen Council are hosting FREE sessions to help local communities talk about neglect, recognise the early signs and know where they go for help and support.
We are passionate about supporting families and working together to help families who may be struggling.
The free training is being delivered across the borough in local centres during daytimes and evenings to make it as accessible as possible.
The team are also happy to arrange bespoke training sessions for groups that work with young people at a time/ location to suit them.
By working together, the Council aims to ensure that children and their families will receive the help and support needed as early as possible to help make a positive difference.
The sessions are being held on the following dates:
