Here in Blackburn with Darwen we are delighted that we have received funding to develop four family hubs.
A family hub should be a building that is already recognised as a familiar location within a community to meet the needs of families with children from 0 to 19 years old (or 25 for SEND).
Blackburn with Darwen’s vision is to transform four of our existing children centres to become the Family hubs.
Our family hubs will be a welcoming place where services can be accessed by parents-to-be, parents, carers, families and young people, all in one place.
We want to ensure is that there is seamless support for families, and as such as are going to establish parent and carer panels.
These panels will be the forum that will join up parents and carers with professionals to create the services to be offered in Blackburn with Darwen’s family hubs together.
Would you like to be part of the work to inform and guide the direction of planning and service delivery?
• Are you a parent or carer of a child/young person under the age of 2?
• Are you a parent of a child with SEND?
• Have you recently experienced midwifery and health visiting services?
• Are you passionate about improving children’s learning opportunities?
Then we want to hear from you!
