The official opening for the new Green Lane Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) take place on Saturday, February 15th.

There will be free activities for children and young people including a climbing wall, face painting, boxing and Commando Joes, penalty shoot-out, raffle, Blackburn Rovers mascot Rover the Dog and a variety of stalls.

The games area will be officially opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackburn, Councillor Jim Shorrock and Mrs Linda Mahon.

Taking place at the MUGA at Greenfields Community Centre Car Park, Green Lane, Blackburn, between 1pm and 3pm.

The Green Lane MUGA has undergone a big renovation following ears of vandalism. Upgrades include new durable fencing and a new hard surface to replace the old synthetic carpet with appropriate line marking, to make sure that the facility is not easily vandalised.
