A Met Office yellow warning has been issued as Blackburn with Darwen is expected to experience snow showers and icy conditions.

The warning is in place from Monday, February 10th until Wednesday (February 12).

The poor weather could likely lead to travel disruption. During periods of severe weather, including fog, snow, ice and floods, the Met Office and Highways England are a good source of driving advice and information.

Visit the driving in severe weather page and travelling in heavy snow and ice page and check out Highways England’s website for general information.  For all local winter-related updates keep an eye on BwD Roads.
