Residents are being given the chance to win a brand new iPad if they switch to online Council Tax services.
Every year, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council spends more than £170,000 sending Council Tax letters to its residents throughout the year.
This includes annual bills, statements, reminders and letters when there’s a change of circumstances.
Now, in a bid to encourage more people to go digital, the Council is giving residents the chance to win a brand new iPad.
By signing up for an online account, residents can quickly and efficiently access and pay their bills on their smart phone, tablet or computer.
The online service also enables residents to check how much they owe, set up or change a direct debit, view your Council Tax Support and apply for eligible discounts.
Residents can also let the Council know if you have moved house or need to alter any details that could affect their Council Tax.
Councillor Andy Kay, Executive Member for Resources, said:
Paperless council tax billing allows a fast, reliable and secure way to receive council tax bills that suits many residents and saves the council money.
We are asking anyone who can to register now.
To be in with the chance of winning this top prize, you must register for an online account and switch to receive notification of your council tax bill by email by 31 May.
Everyone who has already enrolled for the service will be automatically entered into the draw.
Registering for an online account is easy – do it now.
