There are just days left for people to register to vote in this year’s local elections.

Voters in Blackburn with Darwen have been urged to register in time for this year’s elections.

The deadline to register is 11.59pm on Thursday, April 14.

It only takes 5 minutes to register. You can find out more and how to do it at: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Residents will go to the polls on May 5 to cast their ballots to elect councillors for Blackburn with Darwen Council.

The deadline for receiving new postal vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday, April 19th.

This is also the deadline to change existing postal votes.

The deadline for new proxy vote applications is Tuesday 26 April.

If you are already registered to vote and plan to vote in person at a polling station, there is no need to re-register.
