With the harrowing scenes from the Middle East continuing to be shared across international media, many people’s first thought is ‘how can I help?’. Here’s some advice on making sure your donations are going to reputable charities and appeals.

We know that many residents are deeply affected by the violence and particularly the loss of innocent lives, and simply want to help end the humanitarian crisis.

One of the best ways to help is by donating cash through trusted charities and aid organisations, rather than donating goods.

There are a number of national and international charities with good reputations that are currently fundraising and accepting donations to help people caught up in the violence in Israel and Gaza.

British Red Cross – Israel & Occupied Palestinian Territory Appeal

UNWRA Gaza Emergency Appeal

Save The Children – Gaza Emergency Appeal

UNICEF – Children in Gaza Crisis Appeal
