A meeting of the Council’s Executive Board will be taking place in Darwen on Thursday
The majority of Blackburn with Darwen Council meetings are held at the Town Hall in Blackburn. The meeting on Thursday, October8 will take place from 6pm at Darwen Vale High School.
The new venue is to show that Darwen is as important as Blackburn for the Council.
Blackburn with Darwen Council Leader Councillor Mohammed Khan said he hoped to hold further meetings in Darwen
Councillor Khan said:
I am really pleased that we are holding this meeting of the Executive Board at Darwen Vale and I am looking forward to it. Sometimes it is logistically difficult to organise the Executive Board in Darwen but we are conscious that it is important to hold it in different areas of the borough.
Both parts of the borough are as important as each other and I want to honour the agreement made to hold two meetings a year of this board in Darwen.”
