Plans are well underway at Darwen Market for the forthcoming 1940’s Day celebrations.
The annual event is taking place on Saturday, 10 August 8:30am – 5pm, with entertainment provided 11am – 3pm.
Join the celebrations across Darwen Town Centre, with pop up stalls, afternoon tea, live singing and a space for dancing.
Following the success of last year’s 1940’s tea dance at Darwen Market, singer Charlotte Jones will be performing live. There will also be a hotpot and afternoon tea served by Tease Your Tastebuds in the Market Hall.
The Darwen Market traders will be decorating their stalls and will be dressed to fit the 1940s theme. With their fresh flowers, food, sweets, ice cream, and gifts, there is plenty on offer.
In an addition to previous years, Darwen Market will be welcoming pop-up traders on the day, offering personalised photography, vintage items and sweet treats.
Hotpot and afternoon tea will be served on a first come, first served basis so get along early to avoid disappointment. For full menu information visit: http://www.darwenmarket.com
