Morrisons in Blackburn town centre was the latest venue in the borough to host Free NHS Health Checks.

Free NHS Health Checks are supported by Blackburn with Darwen Council and are open to people aged 35- 74 who either live, work, have a GP or are educated in the borough.

Taking the health checks sessions to Morrisons proved successful, with 13 people signing up on the day to have one carried out with the health checks nurse Suzanne Warren.

Health checks can help pick up on any risks associated with heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease, although you must not be diagnosed with any of these conditions before having one.
