Payments of the Council Tax Energy Rebate of £150 have started to arrive in the bank accounts of residents who pay their Council Tax via Direct Debit.
Blackburn with Darwen Council have started making the payments, available for people in housing bands A to D, which will continue for the next few weeks. Payments will be made within 8 days of the council receiving your first Direct Debit.
The Council is one of the first to start making payments to residents – helping residents to ease the rising energy costs sooner.
There is no need to contact the Council if you haven’t received your payment yet – if you are a Direct Debit payer it will arrive in the next few weeks.
If you do not pay via Direct Debit, don’t worry, we will be in touch soon via letter to let you know how you can apply for the rebate.
There is no need to contact the Council about the rebate further details can be obtained from the Council’s website.
All information and updates will be published on www.blackburn.gov.uk/council-tax
