Blackburn with Darwen Council officers worked with show organisers at this year’s Royal Lancashire Show to help make the event a success.
During preparations for the show officers were on hand if required to offer advice on a variety of topics from noise levels to product safety.
They also assisted in securing the correct permissions and ensuring the site met all the requirements required to host animals as well as offering guidance on anything from animal welfare to trading standards.
Councillor Jane Oates, Assistant Executive Member for Environment at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said: “The Royal Lancashire Show is a fantastic weekend and a very prestigious event for Blackburn to host.
There is lots of work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure it is a success and our officers were an essential part of that.”
