Blackburn with Darwen Council are backing local partner’s efforts to support the mental health and wellbeing of residents during the coronavirus crisis.

Coronavirus has changed lives across the world and World Mental Health Day (10 October 2020) is now more important than ever.

Good mental health and wellbeing is vitally important for all of us and especially at this testing time.

That’s why, as a Council, we’re working with partner organisations from across Lancashire to support World Mental Health Day.

Councillor Damian Talbot, Executive Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said:

As these unprecedented times continue, it is more important now than ever to raise awareness of mental health.

The virus has caused stress for many and it is vital that people know where they can access the right kind of support.

World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to help raise awareness of, and signpost people to, a range of brilliant services that are available to support people’s health and wellbeing at this time.
