Published Monday 16 March 2020 at 19:31

Following the latest update from Government on Coronavirus, we are fully reviewing all affected services.

As always, our priority is to support the borough’s most vulnerable.

We understand that residents and businesses are concerned about the developing situation – which is the worst public health crisis in a generation.

We also understand that the announcement today has created a deal of uncertainty.

We are receiving questions and will be sharing updates as soon as we have them. Please continue to check our website and social media pages for the very latest news.

As you can imagine, there is a lot for us to work through as a Council and we must prioritise protecting the health and wellbeing of our residents.

These are unprecedented times for us all, but we have done everything we can to ensure we are prepared to deal with this.

Please take the time to read them so you know the necessary steps to protect yourself and family.

For our staff, general guidance is that if you are able to work from home, please do so. We ask that you contact your manager to discuss.

If you can’t work from home or providing essential frontline services, you should report to work as usual where there will be further briefings tomorrow.
