Friday 5 to Sunday 14 May
The Coronation Trail in Blackburn Town Centre
Families can explore the town centre looking for crowns displayed in shop windows. There will be 12 crowns and each crown has a picture or royal fact for children to find and then fill in the answer on their trail map. Complete the trail map to be in with a chance of winning £100 in high street vouchers.

Coronation craft activities at Turton Tower
11am – 4pm
Turton Tower is open all weekend, with free entry for children and free Coronation themed craft activities.
The grounds are looking fabulous this spring, and the cafe will be open too.
Admission to the tower is £6 adults & £5 concessions

Family Coronation celebration at The Moss, Belmont

Community Lunch at Blackburn Cathedral Crypt NOW SOLD OUT
12:00pm
Starting at 12 noon, all of Blackburn is invited. We only have 200 seats, tickets are free of charge. The ticket includes a two-course meal, games, and a glass of sparkling wine. Tickets are available from Checks and Greys Café in Cathedral Square.

King’s Coronation Family Fun Day

Join the Whitehall Park Supporters Group in a family fun day! There’s children’s fancy dress, a bouncy castle, face painting, stalls and games , balloon twisting and much more!

Monday 8 May
The King’s Coronation Big Street Party at Darwen Market Square
10am-4pm
Darwen Town Council invites you to come along and celebrate King Charles III Coronation with some free family fun on Darwen Market Square. Immersive theatre, stilt walkers, magic shows and a throne fit for a king! Dress up and bring your crowns with a prize for the best dressed on the day.

Belthorn Dog Show

The Dog Inn, 61 Belthorn Road, Belthorn village
A right royal, just for fun, Dog Show!
We are looking for the prettiest princess and most handsome prince! Other categories include: waggiest of tails, musical sit, dog’s got talent, best veteran (over 7), dog most like its handler, best child handler, silkiest ears and the dog in the best royal themed fancy dress! Plus there’s a special prize for the best King Charles Spaniel!
Entries are £1 per class and will be taken on the day. No restriction on how many classes to enter. There will be a prize for the winner of each class with rosettes to 6th place.
Bacon butties & hot/cold beverages will be on offer from 10:30. Our restaurant will then be open & serving food, including a pizza menu, from 12pm. Well behaved dogs are always welcome in our bar area if you would like food or drink.
Community Coronation Party at Little Harwood Community Centre
12pm -2pm
This super event is held by our Blackburn based community organisation, SAS Rights! Join the community party at Little Harwood Community Centre! This involves snacks, art activities and lots of fun!
