‘Connect’ with new people this National Picnic Month

Published Tuesday 16 July 2019 at 13:50

Celebrate National Picnic Month by taking part in a free community trip – a walk along the canal followed by a picnic, with free transport provided on Tuesday, 30 July.

CONNECT East Lancashire, partners of Blackburn with Darwen Council, have been organising community day trips for the public as part of their Introduction to Bus Travel initiative.

The campaign is aimed at encouraging different travel choices including walking, cycling, car sharing and public transport.

The trips offer a variety of activities including countryside walks and visits to popular attractions that promote health and wellbeing.

The trips are open to anybody who wants to attend. For more information, or to book your place, email Cheryl Sandford or call 01254 588814.

Alternatively, speak to Carole Ward or Michelle Carruthers at Care Network Hub, 9A Town Hall Street.
