Confident about supporting employees with a disability

Blackburn with Darwen Council has been re-awarded the Department of Work and Pensions Disability Confident badge to reflect the support it offers to its employees and also candidates applying for a job.

The assessment explored a wide range of aspects of support in the workplace and well as for those seeking employment.

Councillor Andy Kay, Executive Member for Resources at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said

We are proud to support people who have a disability. There is always more that we can do though I’m pleased that once again our efforts have been recognised.
