A SPOOKTACULAR event with a celebrity guest is taking place at Greenfield Community Centre.
Peter Gunn aka Brian Packham from Coronation Street, will be opening the Hallowe’en bash, which will run between 12 noon and 3pm on October 31.
The event will welcome residents of the Green Lane area, Donna’s Dream House, Mill Hill FC as well as council staff and forms part of the consultation with residents on the potential refurbishment of the centre’s multi-use games area, as well as finding out what people would like to see happening at the venue.
Activities will include a fancy dress competition, apple bobbing, crafts for all the family, face painting, a climbing wall, and a bouncy castle.
It is also hoped there will be a photo booth as well as stalls including games with prizes.
Councillor Julie Gunn, a ward member for Meadowhead, said:
“I am really looking forward to it and I hope as many people get down there as well. Not only are we going to have a fun time, it’s a great opportunity for us to find out residents’ views on a number of things. It’s a great example of Your Call”
Councillor Konrad Tapp, a ward member for Meadowhead, said:
“Residents really value this community centre. I think it’s a brilliant idea to combine consultation with a fun time.”
Entry is free to all, although anyone attending will need to complete a form at the centre.
