Christmas Waste Competition: Terms and Conditions 2022

The Promoter: Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council (“Council”).

The voucher prize has been provided by Suez recycling and recovery UK.

The competition is open to residents living in the borough of Blackburn and Darwen only.

How to enter and rules of entry submission:

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

By submitting your email address via the sign-up box on www.recyclebwd.org, an entrant is indicating his/her/their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Only ONE entry is permitted per person.

Opening date for the competition is Thursday, 24 November 2022.

Closing date for entry will be Sunday, 18 December 2022. Entries received after this date will not be considered, unless stated otherwise.

You must be over the age of 18 to enter.

Visit www.recyclebwd.org and enter your email address in the sign-up box on the homepage.

Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submission are not allowed.

The winner will be selected randomly.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this competition at any stage and these terms and conditions without prior notice, if it deems necessary, or circumstances arise outside of its control.

Prize and selection of winner:

The winner will receive a £500 Curry’s voucher.

If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the promotor reserves the right to select another winner.

The promoter will notify the winner by email within 7 days of the closing date.

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Other rules

The promotor will not accept:

(a) responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incorrect, or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason, regardless of cause, including, for example, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

(b) responsibility for the entrant failing to comply with any of these terms and conditions, any terms of acceptable website use, guidance and/or other conditions, which may apply to any of Council’s websites or any other websites relating to the competition.
