Blackburn with Darwen Council social workers have joined forces to celebrate their profession this World Social Work Day.
Today, Tuesday 15 March, is the annual global celebration which aims to highlight the achievements of social work, recognise the hard work and diligence of social workers, raise the visibility of social services for the future of societies, and defend social justice and human rights.
To give an insight into their profession – the highs and the lows, the triumphs and the challenges – a number of Council social workers appear in this short video.
