Events, services and exhibitions across Blackburn with Darwen are marking the national Inter Faith Week 2016.
It runs from Sunday, November 13 to Sunday, November 20.
Inter Faith Week highlights the work done by local faith, inter faith and faith-based groups and organisations and works towards greater interaction between people of different backgrounds and communities, as well as celebrating diversity and commonality.
The three aims of the week are:
- Strengthening good inter faith relations at all levels
- Increasing awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society
- Increasing understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs
Events taking place in Blackburn with Darwen include:

- Sunday, November 13, 4-5pm: Story telling event, BB1 for life, Northgate, BB2 1AA.
- Monday, November 14, 6-7.30: BwD Interfaith Review and Celebration, Blackburn Town Hall, BB1 7DY.
- Wednesday, November 16, 2-3pm: Anne Frank exhibition, Blackburn Central High School, BB2 3HJ
