East Lancashire Hospice patients are fronting a successful new campaign currently featuring in bus shelters across Blackburn with Darwen.
Pictures along with words from three patients are featured in the bus stop advertising campaign which aims to get people thinking about supporting the hospice in their Will.
Jackie Rigby, from Darwen, Ian Edge and Iain Moore, both from Blackburn, were chosen to head up the ‘Legacy of Love’ campaign and each provided a quote and picture about the difference the hospice has made to them for the posters.
The campaign follows research by Remember a Charity which revealed 35 per cent of those over 60 who haven’t included a charitable donation in their will said that they would consider doing so.
Kimberley Hall, a fundraiser from East Lancashire Hospice, said:
By leaving a legacy to the hospice in your Will, you can enable patients like Iain, Jackie and Ian to access hospice services. All three have loved being part of the campaign and are buzzing about seeing themselves everywhere.
The bus shelter campaign has been run in conjunction with Blackburn with Darwen Advertising with opportunities like this now available for businesses around the borough. Premier advertising locations are available that are seen by over 25,000 people per day for as little as £50 per week.
