Can you take on the first ever zipwire at Blackburn Rovers?
Blackburn Rovers midfielder, Jason Lowe and manager, Gary Bowyer took a break from training to pledge their support for the Blackburn Rovers Zipwire and would like to encourage Rovers fans to register for this fun challenge. The zipwire will take place at Ewood Park on Saturday 5th September.
The sponsored event is the first ever zipwire challenge at Blackburn Rovers and all the monies raised will contribute to the local charity, Blackburn Youth Zone.
Vicky Profit, Events Manager at Blackburn Youth Zone, said: “You will fly through the air above Blackburn’s famous football pitch for a thrilling 150 metres. Blackburn Rovers Zipwire is an ideal opportunity for members of the local community to get sponsored and take part in this first ever zipwire challenge at Ewood Park. By registering in the event, participants will be showing their support for our Youth Zone, as well as doing their bit to help make it possible for us to continue to provide a safe and positive a space for young people aged 8-18 in the local area.”
We are expecting it to be very popular and are looking for up to 200 people to take part in this exhilarating charity event. Places are limited to a first a come, first served basis, and participants must register to reserve their place in advance. Vicky added “As it’s the first time this event has happened at Ewood Park we are expecting a huge public response, so contact us now and don’t miss out!”
No experience is necessary and all zippers will be fully harnessed.
This is a registered sponsorsed event, so everyone is required to enter by visiting www.blackburnyz.org/adrenaline
