The community of East Rural braved the bad weather, and over the course of a two day Your Call event collected over 20 bags of rubbish.
In the face of heavy rain, volunteers kept smiling as they collected litter in Hoddlesden on the Saturday and around the Pickup Bank area on Sunday.
Matthew Jackson, organiser of the clean-up said “This was a fantastic, community driven event which cleaned up several areas within the local community.
“Volunteers got into the Your Call spirit, with over 20 bags of rubbish collected, and the rain failed to dampen the spirits of those taking part.”
