An information pack is available to help businesses that have Covid-19 cases in the workplace.
The Covid-19 Workplace Resource Pack for Workplaces is available on the Council’s website with all information on how to manage cases, report to the correct bodies and also manage contacts and staff who may be affected.
The pack with the guidance and all information can be found here:

Councillor Phil Riley, Executive Member for Growth and Development, said:
This information has been available on our website but we are highlighting it again as we want to make sure that all businesses are aware of what to do if they have a case reported.
This is even more important now as we start to move towards the gradual lifting of restrictions in spring and summer and a return to some sort of normality. Any cases must be reported swiftly to minimise any risk and keep our case numbers going down to make sure we can move towards a better situation this year.”
The Council is also backing a new Government coronavirus testing drive aimed at businesses which is designed to try and stop workplace cases before they happen.
Blackburn with Darwen’s SMART lateral flow testing programme is designed to detect Covid-19 in staff who are not currently showing symptoms. Local firms are encouraged to sign up to participate in regular, free testing to help protect their employees and stop the spread of the virus.
The local testing team will not only provide delivered lateral flow kits and PPE but are also available to support with on-site training and advice on setting up workplace testing.
More information and a step-by-step guide of what’s involved and FAQs can be found here and here.
