New opportunities for business and commercial property have opened up on Carl Fogarty Way in Blackburn.
Tenders have opened for the key gateway location for businesses, in a prominent location near Junction 6 of the M65.
Carl Fogarty Way opened in June 2019 and runs near Blackburn town centre between Gorse Street and the Red Lion Roundabout, past Burnley Road near the Tesco store.
The 600m stretch of road links up the Bottomgate and Copy Nook route into Blackburn town centre with the Red Lion Roundabout at Whitebirk/Junction 6 of the M65, bypassing Burnley Road to ease traffic.
The development site is 0.79 acres with transport links to key local facilities and the motorway network.
Councillor Phil Riley, Executive Member for Growth and Development, said:
This is a great opportunity for businesses to set up a new base in a fantastic location in Blackburn.
We have been moving the development of Carl Fogarty Way along as it is one of our prime spots but were obviously delayed by the pandemic. It is really positive to have this area open up now and I encourage anyone who may be interested to contact us.”
A long leasehold interest in the site is being offered, ideally for owner occupation.
Prospective purchasers should submit their tenders to the Council no later than noon on Friday, 23rd October 2020.
