Blackburn Central Library will welcome a Trustee of the Bronte Society for a talk about the famous poets and novelists.
The event coincides with huge national celebrations going as it is the bicentenary year of Charlotte Bronte’s birth.
Janice Lee, of the Bronte Society, will discuss biographical details of the Bronte family on Wednesday 27th July at 11am.
She will make reference to the novels of Charlotte, Emily and Anne, providing an introduction to their place in literary history and the influence on subsequent writers.
Janice, who used to teach English in secondary schools, will also talk about the sisters’ time in Haworth, West Yorkshire, where they grew up.
Tickets are £1 and can be obtained on the day or in advance from the Enquiry Desk at Blackburn Central Library.
