Borough remembers the fallen at Remembrance Services

Services of remembrance commemorating those who have served their country in wars past and present were e held across the borough.

People across Blackburn with Darwen joined the Royal British Legion and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council at services at Blackburn Cathedral followed by the traditional parade from King Street to Corporation Park Gardens of Remembrance for the wreath laying.

Services were also held at Bold Venture Park in Darwen, at the War Memorial followed by a service at St Peter’s Church in Darwen, and a wreath laying was held at St. Pauls Church and in Hoddlesden and at the Hoddlesden War Memorial.

Two minutes silences were also held outside Blackburn and Darwen Town Halls
