Update: Blackburn with Darwen Council phone lines, IT systems and website issues

The Council’s phones, IT systems and websites have been restored following disruption earlier today.

A temporary solution has been put in place after systems were disrupted when contractors cut through an underground data cable supporting the Council’s IT network.

Engineers have been on site today to carry out repairs to the cable but it may be some time before the repairs are complete. In the meantime, there may be a risk of intermittent disruption to some phone lines, emails and the Council website.
