It is the summer holidays and the popular Blackburn Beach is back.
Blackburn town centre is set to be the place to be this summer as the seaside comes to King William Street.
It opens to the public this Saturday, July 26, and the beach is free to the public.
There will also be fun rides, water boats, and a giant inflatable slide.
Free deckchairs and buckets and spades will be available.
Councillor Maureen Bateson, Executive member for Regeneration at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said
We have had some lovely weather recently so this is a great time for the return of the Blackburn Beach and it is a fantastic attraction for the town centre.Children and families will be able to enjoy all the fun of a day at the seaside without the travel. I hope people from all over the borough to come out and enjoy the fun.”
The beach will open to the public from July 26 until August 21 2014.
