#BackingBlackburnPhotography – city bid competition

Published Thursday 11 November 2021 at 13:00

Are you one of our borough’s brilliant photographers?
Have you or any of your friends got some great photos of Blackburn that you can share with us?
Get involved and share your snaps with us using the #BackingBlackburnPhotography hashtag  on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
Your photos could be part of the town’s once-in-a-lifetime bid to the Queen for Blackburn to become a City.

We’re looking for photographs of Blackburn that showcase permanent features of the area – particularly within the town centre.
They’ll also become part of a permanent image bank used to showcase Blackburn, being shared with businesses, partners and stakeholders across the borough and wider county!
To enter, simply share your photos with the tag #BackingBlackburnPhotography on social media.
Please also provide a name credit and brief caption of what is being shown.
Alternatively, can you email your photos or get in touch with us at prandcommunications@blackburn.gov.uk.
If you don’t fancy your hand at photography, but have an idea of what features you’d like to see showcased – you can fill out this simple survey and let us know surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LT32VWW
You have until 30th November to enter.
We’d like to emphasise that the competition asks for photographs to be of permanent features, rather than of events or people.
We’ve already had lots of feedback, some good, some not so good…
We are on a journey and want to build on the positives, some of which we think are:
🔸 our passionate people
🔸 our rich cultural offer
🔸 our entrepreneurial spirit
We want to thank everyone for getting in touch.
Please know your comments are being documented and we will use all feedback to continue improving and focusing on what is important to you.
