Make the most of our FREE online apps that enable digital library lending from home
With residents spending more time at home due to the latest pandemic safety measures in BwD, it’s a great time to catch up on those books you’ve been meaning to get around to. And to stave off the winter blues, and keep your mental health in check, it’s good to have a ready supply of reading material.
Did you know about Blackburn with Darwen Libraries’ range of FREE online apps available to keep you supplied with:
- eBooks (BorrowBox)
- eAudio (BorrowBox and uLIBRARY)
- eMagazines (RBDigital)
All you need to access any of the above is your library card number and PIN.
One delighted resident commented: “My best bit of last year was discovering BorrowBox… I’ve read so many books I wouldn’t normally have picked… It’s been a revelation!”
Blackburn with Darwen’s Executive Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Damian Talbot, said: “It’s fantastic to see our libraries’ collections available for residents to lend and learn remotely in spite of all the Covid-related difficulties that we’re continuing to face. My thanks to Council staff keeping this invaluable service going while we all stay home and stay safe.”
If you need a library card, and you’re 16 years old or over, you can register online: https://bwdlibraries.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/WPAC/JOIN, and use the temporary number generated to access the relevant app.
If you’ve forgotten your PIN, please phone (01254) 661221, and ask a member of staff to reset it for you.
