Prepare for a dance extravaganza…on a bus!New Zealand company Java Dance is bringing their entertaining show ‘Back of the Bus’ to Blackburn.

‘Back of the Bus’ is a magical mystery tour of the unexpected as dancers propel themselves down the aisles and hang from the roof on the top deck of your local Lancashire Way bus.

Fresh from a sell-out season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this show promises physical comedy, pure kinetic energy and outrageous scenarios combined to create a magical mystery tour of the unexpected.

Praised by critics for its choreography, “Back of the Bus” is an intimate performance both on and off the bus, as characters’ stories play out in several intriguing locations.

With only a bus-load of seats available to each performance, the show’s dance and physical theatre unfold right next to the audience, promising to captivate them in the world the show creates.

In its only UK set of performances, the show will travel throughout Lancashire during the week of 22-27 June, before stopping lastly in Blackburn.

The hour long show which takes place during a bus journey will see the audience picked up outside King Georges Hall and returned to the venue for the finale of the performance.

This cracking combination of comedy and choreography is brought to you by Plugged In, Spot On Libraries and Super Slow Way in partnership with Lancashire Way, who have generously provided a double decker, complete with driver, for the week!
