Show some ‘true grit’ this new year

For many the New Year brings a new start and a chance to revitalise your health and wellbeing.

And a unique new series of 30 minute workouts to take your fitness to the next level are set to be launched at borough leisure centres later this month.

Les Mills GRIT series is specially designed to help you get fit, see results, burn calories and improve physique.

The high-intensity interval training (HIIT) comes in three variations: Strength, Plyo & Cardio. Strength will help to improve strength and burn lean muscle; Plyo is designed to make you perform like an athlete whilst Cardio is designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximize calorie burn.

The GRIT series will launch at Darwen Leisure Centre on Saturday, January 23 and at Blackburn Sports and Leisure Centre on Saturday, January 30 with six classes from 9-1pm. All are free and there will be Regency goodies and supplements to give it to all who attend as well as a free prize draw.
