Polling cards now delivered across the borough

The Parliamentary and local elections take place on Thursday, May 7 and poll cards notifying residents have now been sent out.

The cards inform residents in Blackburn with Darwen where their polling station is and when they can vote from, which is 7am until 10pm. You do not need to take your card to the polling station to vote.

To be able to vote at these elections residents must either be on the electoral register or have applied to be so by Monday, April 20.

Postal votes are available for residents unable to get to a polling station on polling day, due to health reasons or maybe on holiday or working away.

All completed applications forms for postal votes must be submitted before 5pm on Tuesday, April 21 and you must be on the electoral register to apply.

For all elections enquiries visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or contact Blackburn with Darwen Council on (01254) 585585.
