Blackburn with Darwen Council are looking for new apprentices.

The Council is looking to recruit apprentices on a 12 month fixed term contract.

In 2011, the Council started taking on apprentices, with six involved in the first pilot. It was so successful that its annual programme was launched.

The Council pays National Minimum Wage  and apprentices will be based across the Council. In order to ensure we can provide the necessary training and development we receive funding to support the Level 2 qualification you will undertake, therefore, the minimum Apprenticeship requirements are:

  • Aged between 16 – 24 years old
  • Be able to demonstrate a good standard of English and Maths
  • Applicants must live or have been to school in the Blackburn with Darwen Borough area
  • Applicants must not be in full time education already or educated to Degree level or level 4 equivalent

Stefanie Baron from Human Resources will be at the Blackburn Central Library – Hornby Theatre on Thursday 28th July at 6.30 pm to talk all about it.
