More boosts for healthy eating in the borough

Recipe 4 Health awards have been given out to restaurants, schools and takeaways helping people to make healthy choices.

Hundreds of places serving food have now been recognised by the Recipe 4 Health scheme, which is part of a Public Health drive for businesses to help with tackling ill-health and obesity in society.

The awards were presented by Cllr Mustafa Desai, Blackburn with Darwen Council’s Executive Member for Health and Adult Social Care at Witton Park Pavilion Café.

Given the award were: TCK Deli on Blackburn Market, Our Lady and St John’s Catholic College, Little Fishes Childminding, The Clog and Billycock, Orlando’s Restaurant, Witton Park Pavilion café, St Antony’s Primary School, Deli Box, Beltbusters, Ravenswing Manor, St Paul’s C of E Primary School, Hoddlesden, St Bede’s RC High School and Westholme School.
