Blackburn with Darwen Council is supporting an upcoming health fayre promoting ways of leading healthier lifestyles.

Tauheedul Girl’s high school is running the event, in association with One Voice, which will take place at the school on Saturday, March 25 from 11am-2.30pm.

The event is open to members of the public and will include free health checks, dementia advice, information on lung age, NHS blood and transplants and drug and alcohol awareness.

On the day there will also be mental health workshops, blood pressure checks, adult safeguarding information, screening advice and more.

One Voice’ award-winning Baiter Sehat campaign – which has delivered in partnership with the Council many different community health education initiatives – will also be represented on the day.

Councillor Brian Taylor, Assistant Executive Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said:

We’re delighted to back this event from One Voice Blackburn, who will be working with Tauheedul School on raising awareness of the importance of health and well-being amongst residents in Blackburn with Darwen and ways we can all lead healthier lifestyles.
